Very beautiful! Interested to know how and where you amass such a day date dials collection? Recently, added 3X Day-Date to my collections...1803, 18038 and 18238...somehow I suspect the diamonds dial on the 18238 is reconditioned and not original even though the seller kept reassuring me it is...how I know bcos the Day-Date wordings is missing out the -... m I right?

Have flipped through many Rolex books n websites n google images n yet to see one Rolex original Day-Date dial with my kind of wordings...anyway, I will bring all my 3X newly acquired Day-Date Rolex to Rolex Centre for a check to see if need servicing as well as verification.

there are many things the USA is NOT but IMO it is the most competitive place in the world to shop for almost anything and has the widest selection

the rarest are 6511, follwoed by 6611/b. some with very nice dials especially with diamonds and conditions are quite difficult to find.

for 1803, same thing. dauphines hands, cigarettes hands, dagger markers, wide boy, red quarters etc.

6611 was only produced for 1 or 2 years ard 1955 to 1956. watch is many many years older than me...my birth year coincided with oil crisis... lol! will show my wide boy later.

Let me analyze, judging from the the day date looks like comes from 1975-1980, It will be 33-38 years old (my god, has it been that long) and scaling of the hand skin of the wearer. Result: Inconclusive

Rolex Day-Date 6611/B, dauphine hands are simply lovely!! The super slow non quickset 1055 movement is a super pain to set day and date.

Like the dauphine hands! The dial aged so nicely as well! Swee!

I missed out a circa 1962 exactly the same dial as this one, so sad.

1962 would be 1803 and between 1962 to 1965, you might get "non lume cigarette hands" which are also super rare and sweet! Happy hunting bro.

That's the fun of having non quickset, its good for old man like me, slowly one step at a time to set the corset day and date.. I enjoy it
