  • President Bracelet with concealed clasp

    Hi All,

    I note that the President bracelet can become "soft and loose" after many years of wear.

    one of the test I did before buying my first DD was to make sure the bracelet is able to "stand up " when the watch is place on the side and not crumble/fold down.

    checked with Rolex if in future my bracelet become loose, can any repair be done and the answer is No!

    RSC said the bracelet will be sent back to swiss and melted down and they will set off the value of the gold (a few thousand $) from the new bracelet which costs $15,000!

    good news is after talking to a few pre-own dealers, I found one dealer who claim they can "repair" loose bracelet by "filling gold" inside the joints!!!
    costs will be around $1K++.

    wonder if anyone heard of this method of repair?

    Yup...gd move to check the bracelet.

    Aiyah Rolex will give you their answer to chop your carrot head...

    It can be done for the Jubilee bracelet...so this is not a problem. If I am not wrong...I heard that can remove the whole bracelet and then they will readjust. Dun think the filling gold 1 is gd...pls dun do it....

    at least readjusting...it's not that bad...your bracelet still there. You fill gold...u dun needa bring your watch back to RSC anymore lol
