But at least we know rolex is thinking to go ceramic.
Rolex has already venture into ceramic but the application is limited to the bezel and bezel insert for now.

If they were to go into ceramic casing, I highly doubt it will be the Dssd as the material use must be capable of withstanding the immense pressure of the deep. Maybe a Datejust or daytona?

But I hope Rolex will not go into ceramic casing. They are not known to do any other materials other than Precious Metals and SS. Not titanium and definitely not ceramic. Please reserved it to the Tudor line. But with the new CEO from Zenith, we could see some surprises. This out of Basel launch itself is a new thing with Rolex.

We will just have to wait and see.

Price is slight higher then the original at €250 diff...

I take it as its just a dial variant like Mark I,II,III and this is the IV cause the reference number is still 116660.

Looks like its not a ceramic case but a Deepsea with blue dial and green wordings only....same old 904 steel.

No ceramic PVD coated case with phosphorescent.

    Same price as Deepsea 116660.
