It would help to reveal where you see this "daytona" - better to spend $75 to verify first and it is a fake one, get the seller to pay for the verification fees.

If it is too good to be true, it probably is.

i have been looking around at the daytona white face and i guess it belong to the 2005 year. got all the materials. condition 9/10.
1. need to know whether buying it at $5.5k is a good deal
2. and where can i go to verify the authencity of the watch e.g. RSC?

$5.5K for a Daytona? Sounds just too good to be true. If you plan on buying it I strongly suggest that you get it authenticated first at RSC before you hand your cash over to the seller.
