Choice : GMT Master II or Submariner

I am new to this forum, also considering getting a GMT MASTER II.
Is it worth buying from Switzerland or our airport Rolex DFS?

I also got the GMT2 mainly due to the overall "bling bling" look... now i am eyeing the 42mm white face Explorer II.

personally, i got the GMT2 because i noticed the people around me wore subs. i wanted to be different. also, the green 24hr hand on my GMT2C is really cool.

that being said, i am now eyeing a ND sub. so like GMT888 said, there is no "or" in "GMT Master II or Submariner", only "and".

if you prefer sth simple i would say the sub, but however if you have the need to use the gmt functions obviously is the gmt 2.
Despite saying that a lot of us here would not be able to make that choice and end up getting both, haha...
another thing is to try both out and see which one would look better on you

i dont buy a watch because of endorsement by movie stars or movie characters
but truth is, even rolex had to rely on such marketing tricks in the earlier years to sell
