you also need to prove the link between the receipt and watch to the customs satisfaction, such as serial number, distinguishing features, weight.

who said the warranty card needs to be dated?

afaik, you can wear the watch (watch has serial #), without box/papers, and just present the invoice to claim gst.

how did you managed the refund? that means the warranty card and invoice has to be in the foreigners name?
that might be a problem when you are to sell to 2nd hand dealer in future......
