  • Help! Help! Numbering fading away...

    Hi Brothers & Sisters,
I Need some help & advice on my Explorer II
The numbering on the ring is fading away(some) any advise or lobang(besides gg to ROC) where shall I go for the servicing?

What numbering? The serial number on chapter ring or black inscriptions on bezel? The serial number which is inscribed should not be fading whereas the black 24 hour marking inscriptions are fading due to wear and tear. I think only RSC can help. Always go to RSC for best safe reasons.

are you referring to the black enamel paint on the index of the metal bezel?

it is termed as normal wear and tear. as such, if you like to have it restored, it can be done with a change of bezel.

Feel its a waste to replace whole bezel if the bezel, apart from the faint paintwork, is still in good condition

maybe before going to that as the last resort, TS may consider using toothpick dab with some black gloss enamel paint and fill up the numerals
need alot of patience i guess... but if successful, can be rather rewarding
btw i havent done this before, but read that some has done it with success

"Republic Of China" (ROC) ...hahaha... if that is where you purchased it from! (Just kidding bro!!!)

Suggest send it back to RSC and at least you can get some quotation before you make a decision.
