If we wear the watch everyday, would it harm the watch movement? Or just wear and tear and need service after some years? I thought Rolex movement is very reliable and can last for long long time?
Depending on what you do with the watch, eg, no sports like base ball with rolex watch.

The author of this book says u need to always make sure the watch is used/running. If many hv pieces need too wind and run at least once every week.
When wounding wind until the second hand moves by itself and so not "shake" the watch to kick start. This way the watch lasts longer.
The crown threads worn-out is something new to me Thanks Bro Leong
BTW, some winder is doing more harm than good on your wtaches movt.

Erm, that pretty new to me... RSC told me is alrite de, no prb at all. Or they r just waiting for my to spoilt then can earn my $....
The thread gets thinner, have to change the crown (ard $100) + the thread (ard $90) connecting the case and crown. It is the same theory for maintainence, who is into FM here? Things that require frequent movement spoilt faster.
