Agree that only a handful probably will use ROLEX for diving. The best form of dive watch are digital ones. A G Shock will be more than adequate to do the job. But I ever wear my Sub date for swimming before. Looks very nice inside the pool. Try it manOriginally posted by triton View Posttake no offence. how many of us actually go diving with rolexes or high end dive watch?

for me, the deepest depth i ever went was 200ft, which is about 60m. i already almost felt out of breath. trust me, the pressue @ that depth for a normal recreation diver is considered big.

personally both 'divers' are meant for different markets. the SD are for hardcore divers while the sub is for recreational diver.

both are great watches to own. Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today. -James Dean Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today. -James Dean

They look similar. no point buying both similar watches. From far, most people can't tell at a glance.Originally posted by Darkangel View PostHmm...If I had the xtra cash maybe...but both add up can buy a better watch already loDream as if you'll live forever. Bro, my humble opinion is if u can afford a vintage SD now.. please grab it now. I used to own one for abt SGD6500 few years back. Now i think we can't get it for SGD10k. I'm not even mentioning vintage red SD!Originally posted by Wisingapore View PostI am quite determined that my next watch will be a 1977 Sub no date or a 1977 seadweller (if such a thing exists)

Estimated purchase date is prob 2009, so i have some 2 years to do research on good vintage dealers and assess the market...

Anyone else fancy having a watch that's as old as you...?
