The polished accents on the watch are indeed beautiful, but agree with you that it does give one concern about scratches. This is one "setback" that I foresee when I was deciding between the GMT II and the new EXP II 42mm.

Well, pretty obvious that the GMTIIC is still the hands down winner for me here.... hope I didn't make a wrong choice. Well, just enjoy the watch.... Haha!

or u can do like what i do and stop worrying about any scratches on the bracelet

                      • IIRC, the ROLEX 116713LN retails at $15,680. It'll be about 12% discount if it sells at $13,790.

                          • Hi all,

Posted this in another section but got no response ...... Maybe wrong place to ask.

Anyway, hope to get some tips here.

I am getting a friend from Germany to buy a GMT Master II 116710 LN.

Was wondering if I should insist on a G series or should just take what's available from the AD.

What is usually included in the whole package of a new GMT II watch.

Should I ask him to put my name in the warranty card or should we just leave it unnamed.
( what are the pros and cons of this ? )

                            Appreciate any tips / advise.

                            Cheers

                            • Bro viper 95

                              1. Series
116710 is a fast moving model. I think you need not be too worried about the series. Chances are, you'll be getting either a G or alphanumeric series. Both are okay.

                              2. Full Set
Packaging: triple box ie. sleeve, outer box, green box
Inside: watch (of course), bezel protector, green/red tags, guarantee card with pouch, GMT II manual + warranty booklet, polishing cloth.

                              3. Named/Unnamed
If you have the intention to sell off you watch sometime down the road, it is probably better to leave the G card unnamed. Buyers, generally, prefer unnamed, IMHO. If AD insists that it must be named, I guess the next best thing to do is to ask your friend to put down your name.
