Yes, i believe the earlier 16710s had such properties like tritium dial, pin hole lugs, etc. Of course, it could be an even earlier fat lady with a thicker case and fat crown guard. That'll be a collector's item!

Word has it that tritium was banned in 1998 and replaced by luminova in 1999, so this watch has got to be pre-1999.
The 16710 was introduced after 1988, that makes the watch in Qs produced between 1989 to 1998. Now, he says his dad bought it 8 to 10 years ago, making this watch falling between 1998 to 2000. Now, as i've said, no tritium dials after 1998, so that makes this possibly either an early A, U, late T or even a late W series 16710 watch. Darn Rollie serials, only they can find logic in the sequence used.

I've been shopping around for 16710s for a while. I've been quoted 7-8 year old pieces for S$6.5K. An over 4 years piece (in very good condition though) is listed for S$7.5K b4 discount (not much anyhow!).

If u are interested in the 16710, i believe there's a forummer here selling a 2+ years D series for S$7K. if u really like the 16710, i think that is one u can go for. I almost went for it but i've found my holy grail.

no lah not my watch. i also not keen to buy gmt 2. my friend wanan know roughly hw much it costs mah, also if he decide to sell cheap, maybe i can profit from it haha
