There's a half gold gray dial men's sized YM at the pawnshop on the same level as Peng Kwee. If I do not recall wrongly, its called Maxi-Cash. The price is a bit on the high side but if you wish to take a look at it, you know where to find.

hahaha.. the ladies @ peng kwee have a steady supply of whatever they've been smoking, explains how they keep a straight face whilst smoking us on prices!

Like yourself, am also looking around for a YM. Wife has gotten hers, am looking for a men's size one to complement. Very tempted to get a new one, gotta resist the urge...

As for your question, have seen a few at the shops around lately but venture at your own risk. There's a platinum/stainless steel men's size in two Peng Kwees - Bencoolen and Peninsula Plaza (not that the rest don't carry, its just that I haven't been to those). The one at the former quoted me $8.8k before discount and before GST. I suspect she was smoking something pretty strong before attending to me. There's also a shop next to the Bencoolen Peng Kwee that's selling the half gold model. I didn't go in to ask because the chap in there didn't look particular friendly. That's all I know for now. If you happen to find out the price of the half gold YM, do share share. That's the model I am eyeing.

YM has passed it's initial fever stage. At the moment it's a hate or love watch...either u love it or you hate it. Unlike the evergreen submariner..which catches the eye of many.

I would say...it's a gd time to buy still as the prices are at a reasonable level...once new model come out this piece may go sky high
