  • Rare dial gmt 16710 with calibre 3186

Rare dial gmt 16710 with calibre 3186. The infamous "stick II" font on the dial as opposed to the roman numeric dial.

Sgroc seniors, I wonder how many pieces are there in the current market.

    Please advise bros

how many pieces are there? Only Rolex know.

if my memory is correct, the 16710 with 3186 movement can be found only in M series.

what is reasonable depending on each individual perspective. reason is simple

              1) discontinued model. so it is seller who has advantage.

also in true retrospective, unless one can see the 'wiggle' movement, from far who is to know if the 16710 is a 3185 or 3186 movement.

3185 gmt2 with || dial go for normal price. i saw one sold for mid (i think) USD 4k a few weeks ago. can't be more than 4.7 even if i'm wrong. nice bracelet and head in good condition.

3186 gmt2 - depends on where you buy it from. i wouldn't pay more than 15% above market rate. unfortunately they are uncommon, and this does not help normalize pricing.

if you're desperate for 3186, buy a normal gmt2, buy an explorer 2 with 3186 and swap the movement and keep both. same price as what the seller in sg-roc garage wants for his 1 watch.

The explorer 2 with 3186 is also selling at a premium vs its 3185 sibling...no?

cheaper and easier to find a 3186 exp2 than a 3186 gmt2. combine the two by buying smart and it might even be cheaper than the one for sale right now in the garage.

i think the premium is paid for the age of the watch more than the movement. i sold a v series exp2 (full box set with warranty) in 2011 for 5.6 or 5.8k. i think they're going for about that price at the moment... i could be wrong though! i don't often click on new'ish exp2 FS links.
