Green Hulk still sell above retail price of $11800, on the other hand black sub can get at $10500 (retail at $11120), green hulk still very much in demand...

actually Hulk is selling for below $10K in Europe after VAT return. Seen it in a few places. all in the $9+ region. Of course we already know that since Grey dealer are selling slightly above 10K.

you might enjoy some saving even if you buy an air ticket to Europe just to buy this. :-)

I heard that after the tax refund.

The price will not be $9+ region due to there is extra charges when tax refund at Paris airport.

Mine according to the AD is alphanumeric...

I have checked around and found grey mkt sets to be ard $1-1.5k cheaper than local AD. What are the pros and cons of buying from local AD? Do sets from local AD command better reasle in future?

For example I know that Merc from C&C command better resale than PI units. Does this apply to Rolex watches as well?

The merc case is not a good analogy. C&C charges u a one time addtional fee of 10k to service if ur car is not purchased from them. For rolex, as long as watch is genuine and comes with valid warranty card, rsc is obliged to service it.

In the resale market I don't see that local sets can command a much higher price since it's the same watch from rolex.

Buying from SG AD will give you that "shopping for luxury goods" feeling. AD service is better, shops are nicer but you will pay 1-2k higher, so is it worth it?
Depends on individual.

The resale value from AD or non AD is same. No difference because when you sell it, buyers do not enjoy SG AD service nor have the "shopping for luxury goods" feeling, these service n feelings are non transferable.

My observation is local AD resale price commands a slight price advantage over overseas AD as evident in the 'For sales' forum although there is always the argument that both are covered by international warranty. I guess the reason being buying a local AD resale, especially if it comes with the original receipt, will provide a peace of mind to the buyer that the watch is genuine without having to authentic it further with RSC....

In my opinion,if buying preowned,the most Important criteria is the
Condition of the watch!
Papers and box are not Important if the watch is not in good shape.
