if you have big, strong arms then it will look and feel okay (like body builders). Otherwise, it is a tough job just to lift your hand up to read the time... Furthermore the thickness of it makes it look un-proportionate to any small wrists....

I always hear u guys say u like it cus it has got a great history. I cant understand this concept at all.

U buy it with ur own money. U r not the spokeperson n y do u care bout the history. Shouldnt we buy it cus we like the looks n it matches our style n also budget instead of buying it cus it has got great history. If thats the case then should buy the 1st wrist watch ever made, first quartz watch ever made, and all the milestone watches

I know i am not as into watches as some of the seniors here but i dun think i can really understand the mindset unless if u write 'having a great history' as the reason u bought it is just say say only lah. Like a plus point
Watch is afterall an emotional purchase...other than aesthetics...it's nice to understand how they started and developed over the years.

it's too heavy and thick. doesn't wear comfortably (at least to me for a small wrist fella)
    watch technology is great
not necessarily the best or most expensive SS sports watch. BP FF is more expensive for example

I prefer a regular sub/SD over DSSD anytime

I maybe wrong but Rolex DSSD is 43 mm?

In any case beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. As a matter of fact when I wear a g shock its definitely much more comfy as compared to DSSD due to the weight of DSSD n it slips frequent on my wrist. Nope I don't even go swimming with my DSSD let alone diving or deep sea diving.

Sometimes you do not need to find a reason to justify your decision on why u like or even own it. OK if I have to, basically the solid weight of it, reputation for being the bad boy of Rolex and buying a piece of history of the technological advancement at the moment for the deepest depth a watch can withstand ( discounting Rolex Deep sea challenge)

Rolex 44mm DSSD - Love it or Hate it?

Please let me know what you think.

Some said too big and heavy; too tight its uncomfortable, too loose it slips too much becoz of weight
Some said the case is out of proportion with the bracelet and look ugly
Some will always stick to the submariner
Some liked the weight of the steel-> value for money
    Some like the helium valve
    etc

    what say you?
