Put it off for years due to the tapering bracelet. Finally got one & if you wear it snug (easy with the genius clasp), the bracelet turns out to be a non-issue. Comfortable daily-wear for the past few weeks...

that's the whole point of the dssd - it crushes all other rolex models, anytime anyday
why will one want to bring rolex watches underwater 3900m for ?
to prove that its the king of all Rolex models ah ?

I thought it'll be good to share with the members that Pita Oceana is 5,000m water resistant compared to DSSD. Technomarine Abyss has a depth rating of 10,900m. If i'm not mistaken, there're another 2-3 watches that beat DSSD's depth rating.

But of course, if you're comparing to other Rolex models...DSSD beats them no doubt.

No need to silence, everyone is entitled to their opinions. Wether to my liking or not.

The Deepsea is probably the most controversial sports model that Rolex produced. It draws extreme views from both sides of the camp, those who love it will defend it down to the last feet(12800). Those who do not feel for it will put it down and express their views passionately.

The deepsea is not for everybody. But if you like it enough, the size, weight, built, thickness, over-engineering and the bracelet will only be value adds for you. If it does not sing to you, it will only be a chunk of overpriced steel and I have heard worst about it.

Rolex in my view has succeeded. Producing a watch that draws attention like no other modelling it's line up.

Now, do you hate it? Or love it like me?

    Ray

Got one, sold it. Regret, get one again, sold it again. It's one of the most uncomfortable watch I ever wore. Top heavy, puny bracelet. Look nice in my winder though.
