        18K gold buckle have the "750" stamp on the back of the buckle,those are hard to find and expensive.

        there is also a rare 9K buckle made in the 60s and 70s for the 1803 models..on the back stamp "RWC",

          Hi,
          from your experience, does this strap look genuine?

                    just an update. I gotten my vintage 1601 restored at JW, then went down to RSC to get a leather strap. If anybody want pics, i can put them up.

                    Rough Prices as at 2012 Jan:
                    calf leather strap: 170++
                    lizard strap: 300+
                    steel or gold plated buckle: 90

                    all these before gst.

                      pictures of my 1601 after servicing from JW and then going down to RSC to get a calf strap and a steel buckle. Sorry for poor quality of pictures taken with my iphone. When I gave my watch to the RSC lady she asked me if i just bought it...i was like lol? yet this little comment showed how excellent JW's complete overhaul is..it indeed looks like a brand new piece.

                        1.2 for a steel buckle...
