I don't have any issue with pre-owned watches in good condition.

    I would preferred pre-own.

that been said, its best to have it checked by the authorise dealer before you trade or after you have traded.

Buy used always saves you a bunch vs brand new.
As long as the watch is authentic and in good condition I don't see why not save a bunch of $$ unless of course if you are so loaded money is not an issue or you like the experience of buying a watch new from boutique.....then by all means. Buy what makes you happy.

when buying new i get the feel good factor.

Depends on what I am buying.

Watch i probably don't care the history.

Motorcycles I prefer 2nd hand because if it was well used, I dun have to season it.

if can afford buy new one, cannot afford then buy pre-owned and hope that the previous owner really take care of the watch. Better buy from reputable 2nd shop so that no need to send for authentication.

my opinion, I would tend to go for preowned for designs that were discontinued. Some old designs are nice...but if it is for new designs that are currently selling, I likely to go buy new ones...so preowned for old, or vintage or very rare ones...
