P9000 can do quick set date? Am I missing something here?

You mean your p90000 can do quick set date. This is good news, because my p90000 only can set date by turn the hour hand, by turn the hour hand how can I not change the date between 10 to 2 o'clock, if I use minute hand how can I not change date between 10 to 2 o'clock. P90000 works almost the same as Rolex GMT2C only no GMT hand. I very understand sales person told you, please may you try to change your p90000 date not at 10 or 2 o'clock.

so.. what i do now is that i will manually set the time to like 6pm.. make sure the watch is operating first..

and then i start to set the date.. just to make sure that the date change has not kicked in yet.. before i do the date change manually..

IIRC, the P.9000 movement in the PAM312 doesn't have quick-set date function. Not sure if OP has changed this over the years since its first production.

In using a 320. Basically same base movement as the p9000 except for the gmt complication. Iirc, 320 and 359 has the same date change mech. That's means using the hour hand to make a full 24-hour rotation to advance to the next date. As such, it shouldn't matter if time is set between 19-12 imho. The 10pm to 2pm restriction applies to watch with quick set date. The p9000 date change system is not a quick set date. It's pretty much set like the Rolex cal. 3187. Iirc.

That's very subjective. For one, I love the dial colour. Changes colour in different lighting conditions and that's just cool? As they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

Eta movement need avoid 9-3 oclock chg date i know,how could be p9000 avoid chg date at d 3-9oclock because when u need chg d date ,must use d hour hand going around!!
