Maybe said seller is now thinking of ways to punch the warranty papers swee swee! mwhahahahahaa.... I can lend him one incense to burn little holes.... the burnt edges in the pseudo punched serial number can also pass off as patina.

The blank warranty papers is evident. The section bearing the serial number is not punched.

Do you think any online seller will ever declare the watch set being 'pieced' together if he ever post in our Private Dealer's Shopping Gallery?.

For buying vintage rollies, I have to agree with Bro Kuching, I rather spend more at trusted vintage dealers... somemore my vintage dealer provides 1 year warranty. Online flippers? Most of the time they don't even know the full history of the watch, they don't provide warranty and they still wanna sell as high priced as the dealers with shopfronts.

Got another member in VRF commented this dealer like playing puzzle - buy box, paper and accessories to form 1 complete set. Seems like vintage player do not like this "complete set".

Just happen that this dealer got a red tag from one of my overseas friends, I am thinking WOW why a dealer buy a red tag. Maybe missing just this red tag to a complete set, today I know he have been buying/collecting box, paper and accessories to form a complete set. Wonder is the watch head build by this “puzzle” method.

Not sure is it the same complete set that is currently on sale now in this forum.

I am still learning on rolex, so many different pattern - even same model number.

    as usual we are AGAIN.
Mabe he is a jigsaw puzzle fan......and he is quite innovative to use this method to make his own 'full set' to sell at a profit. A little of M&A strategy there. However, critics in VRF is not saying he cannot do that, just that he needs to make full disclosure about each item that they did not come originally with the watch.
Did he do the same here?
Think I spotted from his clear pictures that the unstamped paper got no punched serial numbers.

Yes, I agree, we should give him a break. However, this is of course just one of the few incidents in places like vintage rolex forum or paneristi.com.

wow... tht this thread has stopped.. giv

Lets give this guy a break la, he has been very very humble as to admit he was wrong, he has been rippedtoo, not entirely his fault. Just his knowlege on vintage rolex thinking from his small head, his big head is use for panerai already.

Sure he has no intention to con ppl , he was conned too, Can't blame him. He has learned from abundent criticism from oversea and locally. Already very 'lau kui'.
That why he has fledto the opposite side and tanfor new opportunity to start life afresh

    BTW is this the thread?

    I Dont Think We Are...

OT. Cause the topic of someone condemning a particular brand is as good as a seller mix and match an existing watch with other bought accessories related to the watch. Both not so ethical from my stand point of view.

And the keen eye for details of the veterans who can easily spot a fake through a picture tell us how one can be so passionate about a certain brand without needing to foul mouth another.

Like mentioned, hopefully Singapore Collector image is not tarnished due to certain particular individuals doings.

    Cheers.

Those collectors there have great passion and knowledge on what they are dealing with. If anyone tries to pull a fast one for an easy profit, they will not hesitate to condemn.
Now, what will they think of singapore collectors? Hope our good image is not tarnished.
Hahaha, VRF and P.Com are 2 forums where you can feel the passion run deep deep! For VRF, every 2-3 months, there will be mini wars between members erupting over authenticity issues. The members' knowledge of their Rollies are so profound that it can be very intimidating!

Actions like these, can't escape the laojiaos' eyes. There are just some sellers whom I won't buy my pams or rollies from, whether international or local once I've spotted them trying to pull off a fast one or whether I receive just one bad reference amidst good ones about the seller.
