Not so serious lah. At most is Singapore buyer will be targeted by "con" man.

Even a BIG dealer can be con into getting fake(which is pointed by others forum member from photo) and flip it as real one.

Aiyo... I read in VRF of someone trying to sell a vintage submariner 5508... budden hor, the experts in VRF declared the bracelet to be fake... walau ei.. scary man. So, the said seller admitted that he bought the watch from someone in VRF and is trying to contact the seller, so buyer beware! Whether rollies or pams... you better do your homework and not just proclaim you're the master, whether it comes to buying or selling.

The true connoisseurs only trust their own eyes. Font positioning can be slightly off by a few nanometers and they can spot them. Obviously that fella didn't do enough homework to claim throne on the mountain. Aiyo, excel spreadsheet I think cannot handle this seller, probably he needs to implement SAP...

Bro, you are right. Vintage Rolex is not an easy art to master and the real guru are way up there. It is governed by a group of real global experts that (as you say) live and dream of vintage. Not something we can achieve in a short time. For me, if I want to buy a vintage sports rolex, I go for a seller that I can trust 100% both in his integrity and wealth of knowledge even if I have to pay more. This is not an area I would go for cheap prices.

So far only know 1 who use excel to track ALL panerai resell price and claim panerai is the only way to go. All other brands are no where near it.

Xcel gure pointed panerai branding is so good/strong that it do not need to spend on ad. Not like Rolex spend million on ads to sell watch.
Look where is he now? Selling the brand that he used to "con-dam" - rolex.
