  • PAM 341 at the Panerai Beverly Hills Boutique

(sorry to the members who read this on p.com/purist/trf)

I happened to tag along with my bud who was picking this up for his uncle in Singapore. He was gracious enough to let me take photos and fondle this BEAST.

I have to say, the 341 looks really good in person. Love the historically correct piece and the construction. Very impressive but just not pratical for everday and definately not for me at 6.5" wrist.

Here is the bad boy served up by Chad the Boutique Director! Another interesting perspective on this BOX.

I have to say, the 341 looks really good in the metal and plexi is great! Just awesome piece, too bad its too big for me.

    292j, 341 and 312

My attempt at being California Govenor Arnold with his 341 = FAIL!

Chad had this beauty in the back. PAM 323 10day GMT. An awesome piece! Came real close with putting the card down on this one. The circular PR works! The case is a bit beefier due to the 10 day auto movement.

THANKS again to Chad and staff (Tanya, Marcel) at the BHB!
My 312 had to go in for some service work and will return in 6-8 weeks. Another VISIT!

Well Panerai seems to be charging for this one for all the market will bear.

60mm and 29 Thousand USD, no wonder they put that special packaging and case around it.

I was on the official Panerai website looking for some GTG info and I read some of their PR.

"Designing watches in Italy and producing in Switzerland".

Jesus considering this watch why don't they just say, we did nothing but copied the the crap out of the Panerai GPF 2/56 (the “Big Egiziano”) for the Egyptian Navy from back in 1956. Now can you please pay us 29k USD for this magnificiently designed watch that we only copied?

For your reference, an original Paneria GPF 2/56:

Richemont? I am starting to doubt these F@*%$@S!!!

                      can wear like this

anyway i think this one is marketing overboard. one got to ask what is the intrinsic value that you will pay so much?

I like pam but I don't deny the fact that most of the pam value lies in its marketing. Die hard fan may hammer me but thats my view.

maketing is key to sales right?

but I have to agree...its really crazy priced...

but to the collectors that buy this piece..they often buy it sight unseen (only on paper) and then just have it shipped..its about getting the piece and less so about the $$ value..I think the value is having it in the collection...

most just don't have that kind of funds...

wow, Chad is still there. Its been a couple of years when i last met him iirc in 07 or 08 at BHB. In the end, bought at LJB. Agree that he is very obliging. For most watches, he adopts a "take it, feel it, like it then buy it" attitude.
