rolex just issue a receipt stating service fee 107 which is as good as what some people will accept.

honestly, for authentication, it only holds true at the point when it is done.

after which, it does hold because anything can be done to the watch which the original company/person who does the authentication will not want to be liable for, hence no certification will be issued.

Reliable in what way? As far as I know, I haven't heard anything negative about the company. Though, I have not patronized them before. I do have friends who had gone to them for verification service, changing of straps, resizing of bracelets.

Has anyone tried bringing watches to pawn shops for a quote?

Quite an ingenious method frequently used in HK

Just to chime in, apart from having the original papers and box, the genuine base pam models should have:

    1) Y incabloc
    2) Rhodium plated ratchet and crown. The bevel edge should be thin. Reps are usually thicker.
    3) Lume on numerics and hands should be consistent.

    Hope this helps..

Full set local set is d most safer by self verify.2ndly,every pam they have their own unique parts.(you have to study).D most difficult spot is those base pam coz u cant see movement series numbers with covered case back & in house Pam should be easier spot replica or not.

That's the reason why I hesitated from buying from private sellers. It's too hard to authenticate nowadays and I've heard many who bought fake Pams.

Think it's still safer to buy from a reputable brick and barter shop.

Can bros here share what are the basics things to look out for to self check if it's genuine?

My experience dealing in fakes before, look for any abnormal or flaws of the whole package. You are talking about > 7k watch . It's must be perfect at all items
