    but they tell you that if you want service, price different, because once you step out the service quote becomes invalid.

    At least that is what they told me whilst I was in Perth, organising my 6694 to be repaired/overhauled.

    But to be honest, they have heard it all before, they also know that many people use them to ask for service but see/hear the price, cr*p their pants.

    If you think the price they quoted you is too much, you can just tell them that you need to consider 1st and walk out...

    I ever sent my 1680 to replace the acylic crystal and it take about 1 hour. I return 1 hour later after my lunch. I should say their service is alright to me.
