Rolex is a mass mkt brand vs AP & PP

Oh... Now i understand totally, its actually AP is on the rise in the preowned market n not flooded in the preowned market...

In anyway, Im not favouring AP... As per thread mentioned 3 brands, I've 3 rolex, 1 AP n 1 PP...

ADs carry very little stock of popular models of AP or PP. These are quickly snap up by their regular rich customer. Popular models will also have long waiting list so ADs rarely rely on walk on for these 2 brands. That's my take and maybe what he meant.

Visited a reputable AD in Vivo recently looking at a YM, DJ2 or AP ROO Diver. Was taken aback when the Sr Sales rep remarked crudely that that walk-ins have no chance of getting an AP or PP. They only reserve for their regular customers! His parting shot suggested that I should stick to Rolex as it is a mass market brand! Well, I'm never ever again going to step foot in that shop again!

What's your experience in buying an AP or PP? Is it true that if you do not have a prior relationship with an AD, you stand zero chances in buying one?

I think life is too short to get pissed off with such sales people. Its your money and your desire. Buy what you want and from who you want.
