i agree with the views of the seniors. it's kinda like what we called the "sales pitch" one of the young chap at a preowned rolex shop was uttering rubbish to me when i queried on the latest SD. he even went as far as to tell me that the SD will be phased out soon.

he's a really great guy, all my kakis were laughing at him and he thought he had a great sense of humour.

But for sure Rolex can't be making/selling the current Subs (all variants) forever. Can you visualise seeing the same watch in 2030?

The natural thing for Rolex to do is to make any new Subs using the new GMT II case (with small changes perhaps?). The tools and dies are already there, right? When they do that you can also be assured of a big jump in the price and their profits.

If Rolex have any sense of history they will not discontinue the genre of the Sub-no date because the first and original Rolex Sub is the one w/o a date (and crown guard).
