thought i share my experience on the hunt for a polish and service hunt..
Lucky Plaza seems to be the hunt for a number of established and recognized watch service shops. My search led me to a few around the level 1 / 2 / 3 where I was served with answers and 'attitudes' that compromised my comfort level in leaving my watch with them. There were answers that did not make sense to me, some gave me "scare" tactics, some mentioned that the watch needed serious repair with the look at it and i was kinda giving up hope to revert to pay the premium price of Rolex Service center. That was till i stumbled on W---- C------. It was beside (2 units away) from a reputable shop that i read on the forums where i was served by the guy there that was more condescending and critical towards my questions then the interest in helping me in my questions and problems.

W----- C------ at first impression was plain and simple. Upon accessing the place.. my thoughts were that it seemed unpretentious
I was greeted by a soft spoken elderly gentlemen donned in a labcoat. He was seated and smiled to me as i entered for an alluring entrance..
I asked him on some queries and he replied in a demeanor that was unassuming, unprejudiced, non arrogant and knowledgable. (All of which were traits of the service staffs that i encountered around my search at Lucky Plaza)

He called upon another tech guy that came to take both watches and without checking with me they opened it to my unpleasant surprise! But they assured me that thy knew what they were doing, and from the shop aesthetics and equipment that was presented, there was a comforting after thought that kinda laid my trust on their confidence and explanation of the watch conditions.

i was later pleasantly surprised by the price they quoted me and the time they took to do the job, and the icing of the cake was the warranty that they gave me for 1 year on the repairs. Price was cheaper than most other shops, they got it fixed in 5 days which was much shorter than others.

Collected it on Sat and i'm very pleased with the results.

Very satisfied and will definitely be returning and recommending it.

I was advised to go back to authorized service center to get your watch polished. They know and probably have template to do a better job. But I also heard before that authorized service center send out their watch for polishing. Not sure how true it this.

its at #02-88 at International Plaza ...but be mindful of the waiting time for simple polishing job is about 3months when I last visited them in December 2012 ... very friendly service but avoid visiting shop during lunch hour as its very crowded then ...
business hours are 12.30 to 4.30pm on Tues, Thurs and Sat and closed if public holiday falls on those days ...hope this helps

Works with Richemont group from his home?

Do you mean Richemont send customers' watches to someone's home for repair/servicing?

Unbelievable...or have I misunderstood what you wrote?

CNY period and has some time to tear apart Dad's trusty 6694. It's got a broken clasp and he wanted to just sell it away. Can any guru point me the right direction to replace just this portion of the clasp? This was his first Rollie and of great sentimental value in my opinion.

i stand corrected but seems an easy fix. Don't sell it away, u can't buy history and sentimental value with $$$.

I will try T-- H--- or W---- C------, both at Lucky Plaza; and also J- at In't Plaza.
