Actually the Explorer II might be a better option and more cost effective. It is smaller at 42mm but the dial size might be larger vs the DSSD. Don't think there is anything largerOriginally posted by theronin View PostThanks for all the replies!
After taking a look at the sub physically, find it a little small when worn on my wrist. I think it's also partly because I tend to wear big watches - 44mm and above.
Now I'm tempted towards the dssd. Nice size but looks super thick!
Anyone use it as a daily watch?

choice 1.
choice 2 and 3 have a higher depreciation value compared to choice 1

There are some threads here discussing this, that you can search and read up. Different people; different views. In short, if buy to wear and 'flip' (re-sell), get a pre-owned. If buy to wear (or don't wear) and keep for good, get a new one. Personal choiceOriginally posted by Aken71 View PostHi bro,
Thank you so much for the info. Another newbie question, should I get a new or preowned rolex?

I believe many shops carry this model, from the ADs to second-hand shops and dealers. And with your budget, I think getting a new one isn't really a problem. The retail price was $22,730 for both black and white dial, in December 2016. You may get a better price from grey dealers/shops if you are paying in cash. You may wish to consider approaching the forum advertisers to check it out.Originally posted by Aken71 View PostNewbie here,
Planning to get a Daytona half gold version. Any shops to recommend? Considering new or preowned, budget below $20K.
Thank you.
Happy shopping
