Rolex 44mm DSSD - Love it or Hate it?

Initially, I was daunted by its thickness as well... I changed my mind and bought Datejust 2 half gold and soon regretted coz I felt its too bling bling.... Keep thinking of DSSD all the time... Eventually, I bought the DSSD....and very happy with the purchase till now... wear it everyday... have no prob with the size, thickness and weight at all... Personally, I think its big size is its plus point and beauty........

There comes a point when a big watch on a small wrist looks more a reflection of a big ego, than a fashion statement.

Especially if wearer keeps complaining that watch is frankly uncomfortable but die die still want to wear

Totally agree with Humara21. I love the DSSD as an engineering marvel, but upon trying it countless number of times at ADs, I know the REALITY that it does not match my physique. So I had to pass with a heavy heart (no pun intended).

On the other hand, a close friend of mine, a lady with very petite wrists, bought it at first look. After a few tries, she came face to face with reality that it doesn't match her physique. But she loves it, so she kept it as part of her growing collection of "Winder Wathes" (watches that become permanent residents on a huge watch winder cabinet, never again to be worn).

So indeed, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Reality however, never really goes away.

Yea, you are right! Increasing adoration for DSSD, it does grow on you.

It literally pops up on your wrist and everyone knows it is a DSSD.
