        • I will prefer brand new for my 1st Rolex which I got it new at oversea AD. Price seems to be better out there.
Getting from local AD might be slightly more ex but you will have a piece of mind that the watch is authentic and the service they provide.

Sometimes you gotta go on secondary market for vintage pieces

            • new rolex are really too expensive to afford. I bought preowned at 50% of their prices! so the resale value be much better.

              • Vintage Rolex dont have brand new all pre owned.
And thats the cool thing about it, each vintage watch has its own story.

And the amazing thing is vintage Rolex is more expensive than modern current day Rolex.

                Muayhahahahaha

                  • Both r fine as long as u don't overstretch yourself.. Buying pre own maybe can get u a model that u want while buying brand new for the same model might hurts your pocket a little more.. If u r fine, then just go for brand new..

                      Brand new less than $10k
                      Pre-owned more than $20k

Sigh, i wish pre owned was cheaper

                        • Pre owned would be better for value if u planning to resell it in the further, but take note of the age as well lol

If it's too old a watch, it means that servicing is due soon.. So you will need to spend that servicing fee which is not cheap at all lol

Compare it and follow your heart

                          Cheers !

                            • pre-owned for me. i just bought one 6 days old pre-owned submariner. the receipt issued by a local AD from a casino. am guessing the previous owner must have lost his/her first bet and hence sold it to me. I will be totally alright with the history.

                              • Rolex as investment?

What do you think of a pre-owned Rolex as investment? like 116000 or 116200. If I sell it years later when in need of cash, can get at least same value?
