Brand new or pre-owned?

I will buy pre-own if at least 95% in good condition. But has to come with original box and cert.

i do have a friend whos rather superstitous and will never buy any pre own watch, as he has the mentality that people only sell their watch fr bad reasons, thus he afraid he will inherit bad luck from pre own watches

i used to prefer new pieces but realised the depreciation is high. recently i bought a preowned sinn and rolex explorer in very good condition and i don't see a difference between buying new or a good preowned watch, which offers better value protection.

BUT I still prefer preown at the end of the day!

I will choose preowned anytime for brands like Rolex and AP. At least when I let go of it, my losses ain't that heavy. Watch dealers normally further undercut about 20% off 2nd hand market resale value. If u like to buy and change watches every now and then, pre owned ones can still get to play around with a few pieces.

For something so ex, it is better to get brand new to get lesser headaches unless u want to gamble with your luck.
