If you are not comfortable or feel that something is fishy, e.g. if you got it at a bargain, then authenticate it at RSC. This way, you may still have a chance to go after the seller before he "sit boat" (translation for Hokkien term "Zei zhoon").

I'll do it if I were you. Takes at most 30 minutes, plus waiting time.

                            Question : Preown Rolex - Authentication/Verification & Warranty

                            Hi,

Im wondering, if I purchase a pre-own watch which is still under warranty, do I still need to go RSC for verification or can I just bring in to them to ask them to do a servicing or something and while doing that, they will be able to point out any parts that are fakes inside the watch?

                            Thanks in advance!

to be on the safe side, it's best to have the watch authenticated. also be sure to have the seller give an undertaking that in the event the watch is not original, you can return it. if you wanna save on the $75 rsc fee, you can tell them that the watch is running slow say by 1-2 mins a day or any othr stuff. they will check and advise you what's wrong with the watch. if there's any fake or aftermarket part/s, they won't accept the watch.
                              hope this help. cheers...

Thanks Sunzhi! Have the seller give an undertaking means written on the receipt or acknowledgement slip that in the event if the verification at RSC fails the authentication or while I was bringing it for repairs/servicing, they have rejected my watch, I can have a full refund right?
