  • Advisory : Protect Rolex from Scratches & How to Remove Them

Just wonder if any brudder here can advice on removing nicks and scratches from cases.I know polishing is only to certain limit, any further would "distort" the original shape of the case.

        Removing Scratches from Brushed Surfaces

        Hello Guys,

After reading about this neat little tools from Marineguy8888, i went and bought one of it to try it on my Sub bracelet. It is a Bergeon No. 6240 Scratch Brush.

Here is how it looks like. First 3rd pic shows it when it is brand new. The white insert is glass fibers. Was a bit skeptical before i started to use it on one of the links. After the first few brush, found that the brand new tip is a bit difficult to use as it is quite thick. Part of it broke.

So i started to use the brush at an angle and it seems to work better. Please try to brush the link in a straight line to the grain lines. The 4th pic shows the fiber after it has been ran in.

And you know what! The end result is fabulous!!!

You guys might like to try it out too as i think Scotch Brite is a little too harsh. The cost is aboout S$18 for this. Refills is at S$20 for a packet of 12. VERY afortable.

Marineguy8888, Thanks for the good lobang!!!

          Hi Saints,

Do you have the before and after comparison ??
( i forgot to take mine for comparison)
The polish area might have a different tone compared to the unpolished area.
But after some time it will gradually season and become uniform colour again .

Try not leave too much refill out around 1cm is more than enough .

Warning the residue from this thing is tiny and do not allow the residue to come in contact with other parts of your body . I did not know and got rashes all over my neck .

Can see which link has been polished? The scratch used to be about 7-8mm long.

about S$18 for the "pencil" and S$20 for the refill of 12. taken from first post.

i think if you use on the polished link, you will end up scratching it
