    2. Horology - For people who appreciate horology, they would rather go for the higher-tier watches instead of paying more for the gold in a watch. For exmaple, a PP/AP/VC in SS instead of a gold Daytona. This is not to say daytona is a low-tier watch so please don't flame me. For the fellow "watch lovers" who said you do not mind having a gold watch, would you really go for one if you have the money to spend, or buy something else?

    3. Trend - A yellow gold watch just isn't cool, unless you are David Beckham or Brad Pitt. Sorry Darkangel.

As usual my view is just my view and I respect others' view and likes

i think because full gold rolex models cost so much more then stainless steel or TT. also resale value is not there, meaning u lost quite a bit if u wanna resell. example: stainless steel watch or tt if u buy 10k u can sell 7k, but for full gold, u buy 30k maybe u can only sell 15 or 20k but if u like it just go for it, if u r able to carry it off, that great. for me i cannot lah haha. if u do not 1 to lose too much, go for pre-owned. lastly can consider the WG models, nice n not so loud. can anyone give me a smurf? haha

Cost. I believe most people here even if can afford.
It is still a big sum to them.

Many working class like me can only beo.
Not like some other forum which 5 digits price is a norm.

well yes cost is one of the factors here. For me thinking in a simple way ..

                    Why a Rolex Gold

                    1. I feel i have achieved one of my goals
                    2. Resale better IF times r bad ... pawn also can - wont lose that much * touch wood *
                    3. Gold appreciates
                    4. A status Symbol i can afford at the moment (double edged sword) wanted a Mercedes but outta my league

                    Whats Stopping me -

                    1. I dont get a chance to wear as i dont go for functions etc etc (i m a kopitiam guy)
                    2. Wear already scared kenna rob , beo , chop carrot etc etc - in the end seldom wear
                    3. Too showy (see point 4 - yes its contradicting isnt it? )
                    4. Very Beng and Ah Pek ... IMO lah

                    Just being frank

A gold rolex can buy 2 or more other rolex..

And for the price of a full gold.. There's other models like ROO which are similar in price of a full gold rollie..

Den again, I would not mind a rose gold daytona.

                        With regards to those 2....

Resale for most rolexes are there 1, be it gold models or SS. Better than most other brand watches.

Gold prices do not affect preowned rolex prices. Just a marketing thing...but in fact the appreciation doesnt affect the value of the watch.

Wear the watch, not let the watch wear you. Heart happy, mind happy. Else, poison will run deep into your veins. :-D
