I think this helps to make members than just people to make rush sales. Good idea.

Yes. I have been a member for many years. Also member of ***. I have traded on *** but not here because of this restriction.

Trying to reach 10 post
I must admit I haven't been active either.
Will posting in here help to accumulate 10 post?
Thanks

if you feel that that it is tough to have 10 post count, then let me share with you that another local forum requires members to have 2-3 times more post count before posting item for sale.
yes, you registered your nick in 2010 and now is 2015, for 5 years, you have only made 2 posts. not sure what long history are you talking about. im not sure what you were pre-occupied since 2010, for me, i have to take on 2 jobs to make ends meet and i still find time to work on this forum for at least an hour a day. if i can do it, i am sure you can accumulate 10 posts in an hour.
a forum is a place for sharing information and contributing, it is through members constantly contributing that this forum is active. so as such, i would strongly suggest to you to start contributing actively.

I have been inactive for a while due to preoccupation with other things, including having a new baby to family and now found out about this.
I agreed that this is forcing members to post unnecessary post just to clock 10 posts. Hope some of the moderator/s can consider softening this. Especially for long time member who has a long history but have not been active.
Thanks,

There should be some flexibility, like restricting the posting of hyperlink or image if the intention is to minimise bot posting. Isn't it tiring for the moderator(s) to approve all the moderated posts each day as well? :P

thank you for your feedback.
restricting posting of hyperlink/image is primarily used to minimize bot users.
the purpose of 10 post count is not just to target bot posting.
there are members who goes to discussion threads to post 1 or 2 words post to increase post count. if 1 member does this, it is just 1 post, when 200 members does this, the thread will be full of 1 or 2 words post which makes the thread hard to read/follow.

Personally I only surf here when looking for a piece. The community here is good which I suppose means your controls imposed works for the better.
I had over 200 post and traded more than 30 watches for the past 5 years in this forum. Now still have to clock 10 post to even view.
Should be more flexiable in terms of viewing and can't post or open new thread...
