I dont think there is any right or wrong way. It depend on how you want to read the time.

For me, i will set the 24 hrs ( GMT hand ) to Singapore time, so that i know exactly if it is night time or morning time back at home.
the 12 hrs hand, i will set to local time.

      same here.

but if only working for 1-2 days, I leave everything as-is and just turn the bezel to that country's time zone. I am one of those that really hate adjusting my watches unnecessarily
I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch, I dont need another watch.........

Good idea...just make sure the bezel doesn't get moved accidentally...

Rolex GMT can tell 3 time zone.

i usually set 24 hour to sg time and the hour hand to the city/country im in.

if in a country where there is daylight savings time, i use the bezel to tell another location time.

Newbie with time-setting questions on a Sub

                    Hi guys,
First off, im a newbie and received my very first Rolex as a gift a couple days back. Its a Sub 14060M (no-date) and i completely love it!!

Anyways, here's a newbie question. Before setting the time on my watch, can i just pull out the crown to the time-adjust position right after i unlock the crown? Or do i have to give 20 winding rotations before im able to pull out the crown to the time-setting position?

                    Thanks in advance guys.

Are u referring how to set the time if the watch has stopped? Anyway if the watch has stopped, you ought to wind it before set the time. If not, you can also put the crown to time-set position to adjust time anytime. Since it's ND, you need not worry for the date adjustment, more easy to control. No worries.

I think it's better to unscrew the crown, wind 20 or more rounds, then you adjust the time, push it back and lock it. Better in this way.

What will happen then, if you unscrew the crown, pull it out fully, adjust to the time and date, push the crown back, wind 20 odd times, and lock back the crown?

                              Gd day to all.

Just wondering when setting time for deepsea, if we overshot e time we wanna set, izit ok to turn e crown anti clockwise direction to set e time?

Will it spoil e mechanism inside?

                              Thx all
