                • was looking at the Yale Safe

i was told if the electronic lock fail user still can use the override key to operate the safe. even without putting in the 4xAA batteries the safe still can open and close by using the override key.
                  anyone can confirm?

                  • yesh, with the master key you can operate the safe too.Yale safes are the best looking safes comparing to the same class safes.

                    • *IMO* an uglier safe is better than a good looking one.

the newer Yale Y Series Safes Security standard should be alright, they been tested and awarded Sliver by Sold Secure UK.
prices also quite reasonable, NTUC selling them at $200+~300+ range depending on sizes.

                              • guys, reviving this old topic, someone mentioned an interesting point to me.

by having a safe at home, if an armed robber breaks in and you are at home, you will surely be asked to open the safe. this is a fast way for the robber to get the most valuable items in the house.
